The Highwayman Truck was originally built by Jon Ward Motor Sports for the late 80s action/sci-fi television show, "The Highwayman" (Click here for some photos of the truck in action on TV, and a few of its current paint job). I have lately converted it into a fully functional motor home. It is titled as such, and requires no special license to drive (no going through scales, etc).
If we can make a deal, I want $125,000 for it running beautifully, all four roof airs in nice wells and the platform for a tag-along vehicle installed. No plumbing, no electrical run, all interior goodies but not set in place.
For $175,000, it will be wired, plumbed, flushing, bathing, cooking, etc. Ready for soft stuff (curtains, furniture, décor, etc). There is even room for a fireplace. The trailer will be extended 3' over the rear "bustle" bumper area to accommodate twin bathrooms.
I would like to get $60,000 up front, put you on the title as registered owner. We will sign a contrat through an attorney. I have lots of business references. The time to get it on the ground ($125,000) is three to four weeks from the deposit of $60,000 with which I will hire a crew.
The reason for selling the Highwayman Truck is my ongoing prototype development on the Harley-Davidson paraplegic trike. I am accustomed to tough schedules and take pride in producing unique products, on time, on budget. The Highwayman Truck was originally built in six weeks at a cost of $278,000, using a crew of 35 workers. Since that original construction, about $125,000 has been spent by an interim owner, Tim Smith (Florence, Oregon) and me. It is getting to be pretty nice, inside and out.
My shop is air cooled, has a washer, dryer, full kitchen, clean, full bathroom. A man can stay there comfortably. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you or your mechanic have any questions.
